This.Even if you’re not seeing anything with your naked eye, try taking a picture of the sky with your phone. The camera can be more sensitive and enhance the brightness over a longer exposure. Reading up on aurora hunting a while back, I learned that it’s rarely as spectacular with the naked eye as pictures make it look.
My Pixel has a feature called night sight and it takes a long exposure with image stabilization.
