I purchased a 2020 Sport second hand from the dealership and I am unsure what lift kit is on it. Driving around a few days ago, I started hearing a loud "cranking" when making tight right turns into parking spaces. Looking under the truck I noticed immediately that a piece of the suspension/lift kit was not attached because the nut that holds the bolt in place came off.

It doesnt seem to affect the driving performance other than when making hard right turns. I went to Ace hardware to try to find the correct nut size, and tried about 20 different bolts with the help fo an associate and none of them fit. The closest we found was an M14 nut, which took hold of the threading for about half a turn and was then didnt want to turn anymore. WD40 didnt help either.

Does anyone know what the nut size here would be? Or maybe, simpler, how to identify the type of lift kit that is on my truck? Another idea I had was to take off the nut that is on the other side of the truck but its on there really tight and I dont have the correct tools to get it off. The atatched two photos shows the side that is broken, and the side with the nut still atatched.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Its a sway bar link. you can pull that pin on bottom and just take that piece in store and test fit nuts till you find one.

That is a sway bar disconnect link. Pull the pin on the bottom and take the entire ending into a hardware store and find a nut that fits.

That being said just spend the $100 and replace both with this:

Depending on the lift, there could be a model number on the spring itself. It may be on the back side of the spring. If not, additional pics of the under side of the jeep would help others identify.

Second this, they are a vendor on here and should be able to assist.
Should I contact them directly on here with the question/photos? Direct message sort of deal? New to the forums so some direction would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I am new here too LOL
But in general, as a vendor, we 100% want you to reach out.
It may take a day or so depending on what they have going on.
But they should get back to you.

@Mtverini97 congrats on the new to you rig!

Got your message. Chances are the threads are goofed up from banging around without a nut, so it will require a new link.

Sent you a reply PM so we can get you taken care of and help you figure out what kit you have on the rig.

Which bolt or hole are we talking about? From your first picture, your right there's a hole with some surface rust that looks like it needs a bolt. Also read around on steering dampers, I'm doing that now too, that fox isn't standard, it's either Mopar performance or something slapped on, from what I've gathered so far, that should be flipped around, body of it on the wheel side. What makes me think that, you said it was crunchy turning right, and the notes from Fox say 'because this isn't a thru shaft, it will tend to pull a little left'. That's super paraphrased, but see what I'm saying? Left pull right crunchy. Try flipping the steering damper around, it's a 5 min thing 17, 18, 19 mm are the stock bolt sizes, there only two. Watch out if the inside flag nut is still there, it's not strong enough, almost skinned a knuckle down to the bone breaking it lose from factory torque.
