Hopefully this isn’t too stupid of a question but trying to understand best looks / appropriate setup for my ‘21 Gladiator Rubicon. I’ve currently got 35” Black Rhino Abrams with Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Would a 3” lift kit look silly, given the fender height on rubicons? I’d love a lift kit height that doesn’t look silly on 35’s but allows me to still go up to 37’s or 40’s one day.

appreciate any and all insight!
I’ve also attached a pic of my current setup. Only thing I’ve done is the wheels

If the plan is eventually 37-40" tires I'd just do the 3" lift now. It's more than your need for 35s, but doesn't look bad.

I don't even think a 3.5" looks bad with 35's

We actually put the 3.5" springs on the wife's JLUR with the factory 35s about a month before the 39s came in. Certainly didn't look ridiculous.

Well and ultimately if you think about it . If you add weight to the truck is squashed down some. And when flexing you would have plenty of room to flex. Heck look at any heavy duty 1-ton pickup they All have huge room in the fender well.

I have 35's on my Rubicon. 1.5" leveling kit in the front, nothing in the rear. Looks perfectly sized.

But you won't be going to 37-40s without more lift. If that was your goal out the gate you would have wasted a bunch of time.
