Anyone with General Grabber ATX 37x12.5x17's - will one fit in the under bed spare location?

Done a ton of searching, haven't found specific confirmation of such. Am considering them because I like the brand, and the true 37 measurement, plus they're about ~$40 cheaper a tire. Wheels are AEV Pintlers. If the Generals won't fit, then plan B will be KO2's or perhaps Nitto Recon Grappler A/T's in 37x11.5x17's, which Discount shows available in 1 - 5 biz days.

I don't think it will fit without some modifications to the tire well as it is, under the truck. From what I've read, though, it's not all that difficult but I don't know how far down your tire will hang down, that's a substantial size difference.

I bet it will. I don't have that brand, but I fit a 37 under mine. The actual measurement was 36.5, and went in with no issues.

My 37s are BFG K02s and the spare is a Hankook Dynapro (because of price), FYI

My Mickey Thomson 37’s measure 36.5 at 35-37 psi and it fits fine. It’s snug, but fits. I would look into Clayton’s bent track bar if you plan to wheel it, to prevent rubbing on the front of the spare. But it will fit with the OE track bar on the road without issue. I ran the OE track bar for a month during gear break ins.

@AmosMoses01 just wondering if you ever ended up getting the Grabber x3s and if you had any luck mounting the spare?

A.) Just because a tire manufacturer says the diameter is 37", doesn't mean a mounted and aired up tire will measure 37".

B.) You'll want to remove the spare tire heat shield, probably will need the Clayton Rear Track Bar with the bend for spare tire so you don't rub, but may still rub on the back of the hitch receiver. You can loosen the tire hoist bolts and scooch it forward to gain a little room on the back end.

Hi IzzyO - no, ultimately I went with the MT Baja Boss AT's - which have been great. They fit snugly, I got the Clayton Rear Track bar (wouldn't have fit otherwise), but didn't have to remove the heat shield or lower the air pressure to get the spare to fit.

Thanks for the reply. How have you liked your Baja Boss AT's? I've got KO2s & not really impressed with them in rain.

Yes, I think the only way for the Grabber X3 is probably with the Clayton Rear Track Bar & removing the heat shield & lowering the air presure.

Same with MT MTZ. Just the Metalcloak track bar and it fit. I usually carry it up top though as I don't want it dragging over rocks.

Sorry for the late response, work has been insane. The Baja Boss AT's have been fantastic - not KO2 quiet, but not too loud all things considered. Wear has been great (22K miles on them now), though I rotate every 3K miles.
