New to the Jeep world. My 2020 Gladiator Sport has the ESC maintenance notice along with engine light on. No power steering, no turn signals, no steering wheel controls, and wipers stay on(had to pull fuse). I’ve replaced main battery and damn aux battery. N3 fuse array checks good and checked all fuses in PDC. I did notice that PDC puts off rather high heat only minutes after start. Any suggestions on what it could be? Thanks y’all!

Did you fully charge both new batteries before installing them?

Did you remove the fuse box to replace the Aux battery? If so, disconnect both batteries, take it apart and check for damage, then carefully reassemble it.

I did not charge them beforehand.
To swap the aux I went through the fender.

I would disconnect the Aux negative cable and separately charge each battery. Completely disconnect the IBS for about ten minutes before putting it all back together. Let the batteries sit for a while after charging. They should read about 12.8 volts with no load. Check all the cables for good, tight connections.

Pulled both batteries. Chargers them separately. Let the sit for two hours after fully charged before reinstall. Pulled IBS off for roughly an hour. Main battery was at 12.9 with no load and aux was at 13.1 no load. All connections tight and secure. Still doing as before but I read where it takes a few day of normal op for a relearning process. Hopefully I’ll know in a few days if that took care of it. Thanks for your help Mr. Bill.

Only one code. Going to look into it. Anyone else had this issue?

I got the same code U0212 Steering Column Lock module. Dealership replaced module. Light set again. All started after I replaced my drivers front fender regular/clear 7443 bulb the one filament was burnt out. Could be a coincidence. Could be a ground related between the two don't know yet. Gotta dig through wiring schematics to know.

Yeah man, I’m still dealing with mine. Pretty sure it’s a wiring issue. Just gotta find the time to go through it. Good luck.

So dealer still hasn't really looked at this properly on mine. They keep clearing the code and kicking it. There are two harness' one inside the steering wheel itself and one that goes down the column. Column is a known pinch point in every vehicle. harness in steering wheel can be depending on routing.

Other possibility is improper installation or assuming vehicle is centered. Seems like the sccm is a clock spring + module in one.

Thanks for the info bro. Ended up putting mine in a reputable local shop this past Friday. The pinch point in the column is what I’m hoping the issue is. Just before I took it to the shop, the transmission started slipping and hanging up in 5th gear. Mechanic thinks it could be related to prior issues. Once I got the word, I’ll relay it here. Appreciate the details.
