TGiF. Catching up on the forum and enjoyed this thread. I will have to follow you journey on IG. After my first trip to Moab last month the trail told me get a lift šŸ˜….

I am strongly considering MC since they are not all that far from me. How is the driving post lift?

Additionally, I have considered the KC light bar as a potential future upgrade. Hopefully you will share some real use photos on IG. I was lucky enough to stop in just before the release in Flagstaff to see them being packaged up.

Lastly, looking at the MC bumper as well but I really like the "look" of the NV-JLT-08274 which you might consider.

Cheers!
Hey! First and foremost thanks so much for checking out my channels - i appreciate it!
As for the mods I don’t think you’ll regret either. If I had to pick one to do first, definitely do the lift. Its night and day difference in ride quality, both on and off road.

The KC Gravity Titan is such a cool upgrade. I love both modes and find myself debating on which to use because I like them both so much. The Amber is great for lower visibility or dusk/dawn. The white is all around great and crazy bright.

Very nice build. My daughter had the red Fuel Coverts on her JK and they faded really bad from the sun. I’m wondering if keeping a coat of wax on them may help?
Oooo that’s a good question! I don’t know if wax has a uv protective quality but that’s a great idea! I’ll have to look into it a bit. Mine have started to fade a teeny bit too. I try to keep them clean and it seems to help too.

Love the title of this post, since my JT is definitely my first ā€œmodern Jeepā€. Of the couple dozen or so that I’ve owned over the last 50 years, the newest was a ā€˜67 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer (also had a 67 M715 truck). So this is my first Jeep with a AC, coil suspension, power steering & brakes (or disc for that matter), fuel injection………. The second with a heater and a radio (the Wagoneer had a push button AM radio 🤣). Great to finally drive in the modern world!
Hahaha I can relate to this!! 🤣 for daily driving it is VERY nice. Definitely a tad jealous of your fleet though! Those sound like some beauties! One day I hope to own a wagoneer!

Most of my photos were lost in a fire. But I do have one of the Wagoneer. Wish I still had that one. It had the 232cid inline 6 and ā€œthree on the treeā€ tranny. Eventually the synchronizers wore out and I swapped in a floor shift transmission. I put in a 2ā€ add-a-leaf kit with heavy duty shackles (hi-tech setup in the ā€˜80s🤣) to make room for the monstrous 31x10.50 tires. Oh, the memories. Also pictured is my early ā€˜60s CJ3-B ā€œHigh Hoodā€ that bears a strong resemblance to the one Besttop is giving away! And, of course, the JT. So much better in every way to any others I have have suffered through!

I bought some aluminum alloy motorcycle wheels and the manufacturer recommended using Pledge to clean them as contains a light wax. It worked well on black wheels...
