No reason you can't...arguably better so you don't accidentally leave something drawing power. On top of that, aux switches let you choose whether to run off battery or ignition, unlike the factory 12v bed switch which only runs off ignition.

Just choose the right switch for your current level (15A or 40A).

Thinking about purchasing the Genesis bed outlet kit. https://www.genesisoffroad.com/power-outlet-mounting-bezel.html. Any reason why I couldn't wire this to one of the AUX switches so I can control when its receiving power from the cab as opposed to running it straight to the battery?
i run mine through one of the aux switches - 2 USB charging ports (not fast charge, but that's ok with me), a 12v outlet, volt meter and switch - so when sleeping in the back I can also turn them off without getting out.

This is exactly what I was thinking and my logic for it.

I like that set up.
I can charge my hearing aids and phone on the USB outlets, and use the 12v for lighting or whatever else it will handle.
I have a truck tent and it's nice to just get in the back, plug stuff in and it's right there for me, charged and ready in the morning, and an extra light if I need to make a middle-of-the-night trip (older guys know the drill)

When not needed, I turn it all off via the aux switch and have no power running back there.

I have that one you are ordering it is a perfect fit for my Mojave. The dealer recommended that item and they will install it for me. Warranty on install included. I run a 4400 w solar cell off it while driving from that unit I plug in a fridge. 12 days in Colorado never ran out of power and it worked great but easier to have it in the bed. The dealer said they would rather attach it directly to the battery buds but I will instruct them to plug it into the main boss so it will only power when the engine is on I can just imagine blowing out my batteries in the middle of Death Valley up in the narrow canyons. Always drive with a group is all I have to say about that. Good luck and a great decision
