Hello,

I just bought a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and everything is great except it is pretty harsh on random bumps like pot holes. It sounds like a big bang like the front bottoms out on what I feel should be bumps that would be ok to go over.

I am googling and I think bump stops could be something I should look into. The below picture is what is currently installed.

Is this normal or are there any recommendations on improvement?

Almost looks like an extension on the top, without the end as @Kevman said.

Is this a diesel?

You're missing a jounce in the end of that tube inside the coil spring.

You probably need shocks, You definitely need at least 1 jounce bumper if not both up front.
The bottom spring pad is muffed up pretty good in that picture.
It's not the Diesel version.

I have a 2025 Mojave X with 15,000 miles FOX shocks and does the same. Sounds and feels like big metal to metal crash.
