Since getting my JT ceramic coated I've been researching water deionizers. I really like the thought of washing, rinsing, and walking away.

What water deionizers do you guys use?

Set up a station on the wall and hooked up a loop with a di setup. The problem was the resin I it was not any good. Bought some more and replace it and now get 0 tds. Make sure you get a TDS meter. Have not used it yet, not had it that long. I also got a new pressure washer nozzle for low pressure more of a gentle spray.

What DI system did you get or did you part one together.

Link is at the bottom of the post. But given you need to replace the resin I would go a different route on my phone but later on the pc I can find what I would get if I did it again.

Ok I would seriously consider going with this, buy 2 of them and then buy this resin. Down side is I am not sure that is enough resin BUT I think I can do 3 fills of my system with that bag of resin.

These are the nozzles I ordered as well. They are a misting nozzle which should help. Bear in mind the weather got cold and I have not washed it yet since putting this all in place. I have a pressure washer on a stainless steel shelf, and I ran copper 1/2 pipe where I just shut off some valves and turn on others and I can switch back and forth. Also have 2 hoses for bucket fill, but that was over kill 1 would have been enough. Fills them too quick, so would not do the second if I did it again. Also have a hose reel for my hose on the wall as well. So turn valves, hit the power button, pull hose and I am spraying.

I am in the process of upgrading my garage to a pressure washer with spool setup.
The filter definitely crossed my mind and i researched many.
Im still on the fence as i maintenance wash alot, and use a ceramic drying aid every so often.
Water literally rolls off my vehicles and i always air dry with a blower.
Im currently stalled in the process and wonder if a filter setup is even worth it for me.

My water at my place is hard and loaded with Iron (well water). Might be something to consider if you have hard water.

Love mine!

I also use a Big Boi for touchless drying. Its a game changer.

The CRSpotless is on my short list with a couple of less expensive Amazon copycats and a DIY version.

I have a cordless leaf blower which works great for getting most of the beads of water. Then I follow up by dabbing with a microfiber. Would like to dispense with the blower and just walking away to let the Glad air dry.

My husband was always into detailing but took a much deeper dive after his new BMW arrived. ☺ I’m not sure the filter setup was needed, but…it’s one of those things “had to have it”😉 Both our vehicles (his BMW & JT) were ceramic coated (by us, of course). We also use a blower and ceramic drying aids/micro fibers.

We do have extremely hard water at the house and a water softener.

Haven’t tested the water filtration (by letting things dry on their own) Yet….. 😀

If you’re building a setup…. just route your tubing accordingly to be able to add it later if you wish to. Christmas is coming….☺
