My 2022 Gladiator Altitude (24 02 25 service date) is back at the dealer with apparent clutch hydraulics failure. Seemed to me at the time, the master cylinder failed, however they chose to replace both the master and slave cylinders. Thorough approach EXCEPT that the slave cylinder is on indefinite back order with no expected date shown. FCA is supplying a loaner vehicle, but I would rather have my Jeep back. This is ridiculous that they cannot supply that part. Anyone else experience this? I will commend the dealership for trying.

Poor replacement parts availability seems to be a common problem these days across all manufacturers. Funny how it appears they have plenty of parts to keep building new vehicles, but can't cough up any to help backfill their spare parts bins to get an existing vehicle fixed.

I can't vouch for its accuracy, but the online Mopar store shows they have one in stock: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-clutch-slave-cylinder-4581906ac

It’s frustrating. I feel like if one drove a JK or TJ, one would have easier times getting parts, even if they were 3rd party.

I offered to source one from a US dealer, but for some reason, FCA Canada would not allow that being as it is a warranty billing. After they pay for a rental for a week or two, they might rethink that, lol. Then I think I will request that the duration of my warranty be extended as I am losing use of my vehicle for an extended period, for reasons that are FCA's issue.

I heard Jeep was getting them from Centerforce as replacements for their OEM...not confirmed, nor how paid for. This was from a Centerforce engineer...

for the 40 bucks the slave costs order one online and stop by the dealer and hand it to them to keep things moving it you are concerned it is going to take a long time.

I would raise holy hill and demand at first the corporate service level they take one off a new build line or vehicle itself!

I didn't have to. The owner of the dealership did. Slave showed up by courier (not on the regular parts shipment) from FCA Tuesday afternoon. Now they are struggling with getting the system bled properly.

Update: Piked up my Gladiator this afternoon. All back to normal, meaning it is still a pos clutch, but works as best it can. Dealership had lots of grief bleeding the system. This is probably why the instructions for the 19A clutch recall say specifically to not open any of the hydraulic system. Unbolt the slave cylinder and leave it hanging while you remove the trans and t case then reinstall. The instructions specifically state FCA will not pay for bleeding the clutch hydraulics during the 19A recall. I still do not know for sure what the actual point of failure was. They changed both the master and the slave.
