Very true. I used to keep a random bluefish and just troll with it, or throw it out on a free line to get shark or cuda.
Yeah I fish the upper Texas coast. Sharks are a constant.

I was in FL for 19 years on the gulf side. I was never even close to an expert, but truly loved it. I’d go out 20 miles on a calm day alone and just enjoy every minute.

Oh yeah the Florida portion of the Gulf is gorgeous. It's pretty crappy here in Texas but the fishing is still good!

As a kid I once got to do a big bottom fishing charter off of corpus Christie. It was SO COOL. The boat stopped right next to a rig. So many fish. Loads of fun.

Like most, any adventure, mild to wild.

I also notice places that others never mentioned… like to the shop/dealership.

I have no favorite place but I like to go everywhere with this car.

Have done arround 17000 miles in 1 1/2 years so far.

Have been all over Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Corsica, Austria, Swiss and Italy so far and plan to do much more road trips.

Had so many good times with this car and hope for much more ...
Wow, @Stuntman Mike, what an incredible journey you've had with your Gladiator! Your adventures across Europe are truly inspiring. It's amazing to see how versatile the Gladiator is, taking you through diverse landscapes and to iconic locations like the arenas in Nimes and Verona.

I'm particularly intrigued by your Italian travels. I've been considering renting a Gladiator for a trip to Italy next year, but I've heard concerns about narrow roads. However, the road in your Italian photo doesn't seem too restrictive. Did you encounter any challenges with narrow streets, especially in older towns or rural areas? I'm thinking about hiring a local guide in Rome from https://gowithguide.com/Italy/rome/guides for at least my first day to help me get my bearings and learn to drive like a local.

Wishing you many more exciting adventures with your Gladiator!

@joseeph , yes, travelling with the Gladiator all over Europe is a big fun and for me this car is the most appropriate vehicle for this venture.

Unfortunately, I think it will be not possible to rent a Gladiator in Italy or in any other country in Germany. They were not a big success and sales has been discontinued last year.
I think the only Jeep you might get in Italy is a Renegade.

Italian drivers are kind of rude but I would say not worse than driving in LA area.
Narrow road are no problem, you will find them only in very rural areas or downtown some older cities. In the rural areas everybody is taking care and driving in the center of older cities is usually forbidden.
I would recommend to avoid driving in Rome or Paris but the rest is no problem.

Wish you a great trip.

It's disappointing to hear that Gladiators aren't available to rent in Italy. The Renegade could be a good alternative, and is likely cheaper to rent too. I appreciate your perspective on driving in Italy. I'll definitely take your advice to avoid driving in Rome, but I might look into taking some day trips to smaller towns instead. Thank you again for sharing your experiences and for providing this additional helpful information.
