We just had our first winter storm that dumped around 10 inches of snow. Normally, I avoid driving in heavy snow and ice to avoid accidents but sometimes you just can't. I'm running 35" Kanati Trail Hogs which are 3 Peak Snow rated. I am pleasantly surprised with how they handle and behave in thick snow, ice and slush. Driving at moderate speeds on 4H it feels planted and at not time did I lose traction even going up hill. Last year when I had my JTW with Firestone MT2s it would break traction with very little throttle if in 2H. Not so with these tires on my JTR. I tested the tires in 2H this morning coming back from the gas station and I made it all the way to my house with traction control kicking in a couple of times. Mind you the JTR is essentially and open diff unless you lock it (which I didn't) it drove better than the Willys that had LSD. Not bad for budget AT tires. They have around 4k miles and still look new. So far, I am satisfied.

Where are you Jose? We're in Albuquerque and got a good snow too. I had Kanatis on my 2022 JTR, but Goodyear Ultraterrrain 35s on my 2024 JTR. The Kanatis do wear out pretty fast, and because they are somewhat softer are probably better on snow.

I am 15 minutes north or Ruidoso. I am retired with no commute, so I figure that even if they wear fast, it will take some time for me to see it.

I'm retired too. I bought the 2024 JTR in March and don't even have 5000 miles on it! Gotta love having no commute.

Every day is Saturday! I was lucky to retire at 52. I could have gone all the way to 57, but I had a boss that effed up somewhere else and dropped onto us so he could finish his career. I couldn't deal with him anymore. He was the type of person who would not listen to his experienced supervisors, me included. So I surprised him with my retirement paper with a two week notice. The look on his face was priceless. I don't regret retiring.

Where are these tires made and what is the parent company?

I like the tread pattern, from what I can see. Looks like it is more on the aggressive side of an AT, which would hit the sweet spot, for me.

Great! Just trying to avoid China. The Kendas on my JT are made in Vietnam. Some of these Asian tire manufacturing facilities are new and use the latest construction methods and produce very good tires.

These look like they could be a winner!
I agree.

They are a good tire. I ran them on my JKU and on my JT in a 37 12.5 17. I thought they did better than a BFG in the Rain. My only gripe with them is they get a little loud around the 30,000 mile mark but if you do a 4 tire rotation and rotate them at every oil change/9000 miles you should get about 45,000 miles out of them. That's where mine was at. I would have ran them again but I got on that Walmart 37 12.5 17 Geolander deal in 2022 where they had them Miss priced for $240 a piece.

I got 22k on mine before I sold them and they were roughly 55-60% tread left. 45k mileage tire ain't bad. They performed great
