Low MPG 2024 Rubicon X

Back in July I traded my 2020 rubicon gladiator for a 2024 rubicon X gladiator (dam ticking got loud and out of warranty). My new 2024 with ~3,000miles on it has been getting ~13.7 MPG. My 2020 was getting ~ 13MPG with some mods. I had a 3.5 inch Teraflex lift, alpine IR front lower control arms, 37x13.50r17 M/T, dirty life dt-1 wheels, steer smarts draglink, tie rod, track bar, Clayton rear track bar, Metalcloak ballerjoints, falcon ss, and rugged ridge front stubby bumper with 13k synthetic rope winch. I never changed the stock 4.10 gears. I just can’t figure out why this new gladiator is getting about the same mileage as my old one but completely stock. My previous gladiator stock was getting ~20MPG. Anyone else having a similar experience or maybe some insight?

My 2023 never saw above 16.5 even when I was trying to baby it and get a good tank of mileage. Added a lift and 37's and so far I'm around 16mpg.

My new to me 24 gladiator rubicon that is stock is concerning me as well. I traded from a JLUR 3.6 and on a flat highway hauling a 12ft trailer with two sets of double doors I bought off marketplace showed 11mpg at 72mph. No headwind either. And tonight I had the bed loaded down with Costco groceries and 2 12v fridges and a 16ft heavy trailer loaded down with $800 of lumber and got better than I did the other day even on some “hilly” terrain.

I’d appreciate some feedback on the tick developed in your last truck. Mainly how often did you change the oil? Did you follow the oil change minder as low as 10-0%? Or at a more reasonable 5,000 miles, with full synthetic and what weight? As I now have 3,850, that like before in many vehicles will an oil minder system I ignored and first change was at 4,000, then at 50-60% on the oil minder. Of course with full synthetic oil at 3w/30 in Florida.

Sorry for getting back to you late. So my last truck I would change the oil every 5,000 miles. I was really good about changing the oil in time. I used fully synthetic oil 0w20. As far as the oil percentage, I couldn’t tell you what it would read at when I would change it. I know it wouldn’t read low. I never saw the message to change my oil. I hope this helps, I noticed the ticking ~74,000.
