When shifting into low range, the transfer case indicator light stays in the ”N” neutral, and will not indicate 4 Low even though the lever is fully engaged rearward. The Jeep does physically go to low range (still indicates ”N” on the transfer case status), however it will not shift out of 1st gear. The problem occurred about 1 month ago, but self corrected. Any ideas ? I have searched the net and I can‘t find any discussion on the matter.
Respectfully, MIke

I looked at all the Tech Authority data I have on the transfer case and it does not directly address that issue. Spit balling I could see maybe a Transfer Case Position or Selector switch signal being out of adjustment but I would expect a 4WD error message to post on the cluster.

I have always found 4 LO to be a bit janky in how it engages sometimes and everything just needing to in a sweet spot for full engagement. Sometimes things get partially engage and weird things happen.
