Oil seepage is at the rear of the transmission where it bolts up to the transfer case. Anyone have experienced this before?

If it’s a rear tranny seal, is it repairable or am I looking at transmission #5?

If it’s a transfer case seal, is it repairable?

Got word from National Transmission that the output shaft seal is available and the Chrysler warehouse outside of Calgary has the seal. His book shows the job at 5 hours for the 850RE $800 cad.

He said if it’s a transfer case seal, there isn’t one and the whole TC would have to be replaced -$3000 cad.

The main guy there was with Chrysler for 35 years and said “seal weepage” is normal and he advised to not do anything until it actually drips on the floor.
