I ramble here so don’t read if you are looking for valuable info.

I have a 23 HyrdoBlue Rubicon I’ve put only 4800 miles on as I try hard not to drive it in nasty weather here in the Midwest.
Well we are moving BACK to Arizona and I was really searching for a different truck.
My trade in for a damn rubicon with 4800 miles is freaking 40k so that limited me as I dont want a payment anymore since I bought the glady in cash. We recently got a new member of the family with our son who turns 1 in a week and we got a 6month old tank of a lab a few months ago lol.
I was wanting to get a bigger back seat so either a Chevy Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, or a Ram 1500. This was due to two kids, wife, and my lab. There just wasn’t enough room. We also bought a 18 ft camper that weighs about 4500 lbs so pulling all that when we go camping in the mountains was on my mind.
Searching for the trucks mentioned it was hard to get a decent truck that wasn’t 3+ years old with atleast 30k miles on it.
So today
I took my wife’s car to get an oil change and I started walking back as it’s a mile away and she picked me up in my Rubi. Damn was it awesome looking, so I went ahead and bought rock rails that are a step, armorlite, and front bumper so now I’m an extra 3k deep lol.
Reading the other thread about someone going from a taco to a gladiator and seeing all the positive messages definitely sold me. So now I gotta figure out how to get dog in the truck and it’s prob going to bed a secure crate in the bed. I hate that but it’s only solution with 3 other people riding.
Long story short, anyone who is on the fence like me or second guessing bc value is down, Life’s short drive a jeep

I have been ITCHING to get into something bigger. But like you, I don't want the extra payment. In your case, your Jeep is paid off. In my case, with what I want, my payment goes up 300'ish. I really don't want it. I love my Jeep, but with 3 kids in the back, it gets tight. But then I take my top off and doors, and all those negative feelings go away. The Jeep Gladiator is not great at anything, but it's good enough with everything.

Anyone on the fence is a quitter.

Anyways, I just got a power wagon. I’m glad I enjoyed the Jeep. I’m also happy however, that I got an 392 hemi before they all die and/or they get gas particulate filters.

Amen and once kids grow more room will happen we have a car seat and a booster seat so it doesn’t help with room but moving to better weather helps with tops and such

Well I will always say, stay debt free. The automotive market has corrected as you've seen. I could say a bunch of other mid ages shit.......but fuck it......that's not the situation at hand. BUT.......you have a Lab.......I've got 2, aka Dumb and Dumber. As you know they're fuckin great with kids.

So here is my low buck solution to keeping the Gladiator, wonder pup and the mini-me all happy.

Look at other members on here that did the 2/3 seat delete platform. The seat behind the driver accommodates the car seat. The rest is removed and you build a platform with a dog bed on it for wonder pup.

During any outing, wonder pup will sleep or get up and check on the kiddo as he feels obligated to do. Give the kiddo a couple licks like labs do, the kiddo will laugh and all is good.

End of story

Put a shell on the bed and let the dog ride safely in style back there.

Or, as I've said before, leave everyone else home and you and the dog go have fun.

Great looking Jeep. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Arizona? I'm originally from Northern Arizona and there are some great jeep trails there.

That’s about 80 miles from me on the north side of Phx. People don’t realize how big the metro area is
Most underrated and underappreciated city of all the cities and that’s across the board not just the size of it

That's a great area. I don't get down there too often though. Have you ever been up to the Sedona Area?
