As a former ASE certified master mechanic/machinist with L1 certs I can tell you that it's not a professional diagnostic tool. You won't find Ferrari techs using this thing. But they're fine for DIY'ers. I have one. They are good for the DIY driveway weekend warrior. They will give you codes and some data and can get you pointed in the right direction. I often grab my FIXD unit before I dig out the Snap-On scan tools.

But their annual license is now $600
