I am upgrading my tires from Kanati Trail hog 35 x 12 50 R 17 on upgraded Mopar rims with mopar 2 inch lift. Looking for a smoother ride on road with a good potential on light off-road. Dealership has promotion on the new Falken wild Peak AT4 315 70 R 17 tires. Any experiences with these just want better road manners and smoother ride compared to the Kanati trail hogs that I’ve been running for almost 2 years.

Can't report on that size Falken AT4.. We just started running 35x11.50/17s in NOV .. Went that direction for Load C and the weight and tread width differences. Never ran Kanti tires. So far the AT4 is set at 27 psi cold based on Chalk Test , measures out at 34.25 in height for the Jscan.

mine had stock 33's wildpeak. The cupped really bad and didn't last 35k miles. Dealership said there wasn't anything they could do. Rather than argue with them i got Atturo trail blade XT 35's I like them. A little noise but sounds like a zipper rather than a monster truck. Very tolerable.

Not noisy so far, can report that the Toyo OCs that were at 7/32 had become noisy - not unusual when wearing down. Handling IMO is fine (took the Toyo's off as they weren't that good on Wet pavement and took advantage of the MOPAR buy 3 get 4th for a dollar) .. I drive hard with the ESC turned off and a Banks Pedal Monster ..

I run 35x12.50r18s on my Mojave and had 265/70/16s on my Tacoma and liked them. They were smooth and quiet, the only downfall I could think of is that they are heavier than comparable brands.

That was my main concern as well. The Toyo AT3 in 35 x 11.5 70 are the other consideration

We stuck with the original MT's as we like the soft ride and good all around performance. TFL just posted a test on YT of several tires and the new KO3's were in it.

Can't speak for the AT4s. I do have the AT3's 285x75R17 and I've very happy with them. They are quiet on the road, wear well and stable on the highway.

I had AT4W on my Taco. Quiet, smooth, little more roll in corners than I'd like, but I think a lot of that was the truck and not the tire. I put 25k miles on them in 10 months and they barely looked worn. Wet roads they were fine, performed great in Moab on dirt and sand. Snow deep enough to fil tread void they were great, but not great on ice or in light snow that doesnt fill the tread.

They are heavy compared to similar tires of other brands.

I see a BIG MPG change, increase, from 30psi cold to 35 ps cold, like 1.5 mpg.

For OP, I really like the 35x11.5r17's I have.

I like that size too. Reduce poke and wander. Do you have the AT4 or Toyo in that size?
