Thought I'd update everyone, made the drive with no issues. Day 1: Rancho Cucamonga to Las Cruces. Day 2: Las Cruces to Houston. Day 3: Houston to Panama City Beach. Day 4: I made such good time I took the scenic route from Panama City Beach and explored the coast and got breakfast. Made it to Brunswick in about four and half hours. The Jeep performed flawlessly.

Was planning on taking the 10 most of the way. So far Im thinking Tucson or Las Cruces if I can manage it, then San Antonio, then we'll see how I feel from there.

Taking the 10, you'll spend a whole day crossing TX. 40 is a great route. I've crossed 6x from Socal to VA.

40 is a great route. IMHO.

Did you take I-10 to Jacksonville or bypass Jacksonville? If you by-passed Jacksonville you probably went through my town.

I bypassed it. Took a few back road highways and eventually ended back up on I10
