I was having issues installing Fishbone Offroad Rear inner fender liners.

The lines below and a bracket got in the way of installing the drivers side inner fender.

The video that Fishbone provides glosses over some modifications you need to do.

I called them this morning, was told to do a couple of modifications, and ultimately that didn't work either.

Well, I looked at my phone about an hour later, and they had not only called and left a voicemail, but also sent very specific instructions (and photos!) via email on how to modify and re-assemble the tubing so that the rear fenders would fit.

Overall, 10/10 now. Fishbone, if you all read this: It might be worthwhile to add the photos to the product page.

I have attached the photos below for archiving and to save the next guy frustration:

By the attached image, they are boxing around all of that.

The piece that I have doesn’t bend that way… and the nursert required for fastening the edge closest to the doors is approximately 2” behind a bracket that is also not accounted for in this picture.

From what I saw, the nutcert goes passenger side, the picture is driver side.

The fish goes forward for proper orientation.

Okay, I caught where they said repeat on other side this time.

In the vid, when he puts the button head in on driver side, you can clearly see he pushes the liner against that bracket, it just stops.

If your liner(s) don't have that stand off that bolts to bulkhead of bed, you have the wrong liners. Make sure they aren't for a JL.

They are the right liners. Fishbone said that I just need to unfasten the bracket between the gas line and the whatever that tank assembly is to the right of the gas intake tube.

I did this. No luck. They just don't fit.

after diving into YouTube, the higher quality/better inner fender liners you can buy come with a hose extension for that tank- you cut the hose and then you snug it tight to the corner, add the new longer hose, and that eliminates the problem.

Now to see if I can get any sort of refund. I know I'm not the only one this has happened to, but I'm frankly a little astonished that this wasn't considered when they made these.
