Very helpful, thank you for the extra info. I wonder how much has to be removed to get to this location?
You need to remove the speaker cover/ kick panel which means starting with the dash pad & tray, radio, left vent trim piece, panel containing headlight switch and finally the speaker panel. I also unscrewed the speaker pod (but not removed) to give some movement for greater access to the area where the connector is located and to allow me to route it following the headlight cable run.

Hey all. I just completed the install today on my feb 2024 rubicon. The connector was located in the area immediately above the speaker. It was out of sight, high on the left towards the front. I pulled it free and was able to fish it up and through the same opening as the headlight connector in the above diagrams. Hope this helps.
I just did a second attempt after reading your post and still couldn't get enough pieces disassembled to find mine. I did take more off than the first time. But wasn't sure how much more I needed off to be able to get up in there. I only found two screws for removing speaker box. Third was up high behind pieces I couldn't get off.

How much of the dash did you take apart? Any pictures/video?

Here's the video that helped me most with the 2024 dashboard disassembly:
The panel that gave me access to the area where I found the connector was removed at 14min, 24 secs i.e. the speaker trim panel. I then loosened the speaker box/ pod via its 3 screws to give more wiggle room. The 3 screws were located 1) top screw was behind the pink connector (looks like an antenna connector to me) in the photos above, 2) 2nd screw at the bottom securing the it to the horizontal aluminum support bar, 3) the 3rd was to the left on the panel facing the door. As you look through the crack/ gap between the top of the speaker box and the structure above it, stick your finger in towards the top left. It was there out of sight.

This is great news Marcus, Would you care to PM me your VIN so that I can compare the harness part number to see if it differs.

Thank you,
- Benny

Thank you to @Alba for providing their VIN. Note this info is specific to 2024's

This is great news as this vehicle uses part 68616255AC which is the same we found in @NULL POINTER @YGBSM @wadewolf @MikeNH vehicles so you should have a connector buried back there.

For anyone else please send me your VIN and I will check yours as well.

Thanks,
- Benny

Hi Benny!

Would you be able to check my VIN below (21' Gladiator Sport) and see if there's any chance I could have the right harness to add the Factory Power Inverter and 115V Bed Outlet to my gladiator?
Truck doesn't have the 115V console plug and/or the power inverter, but was hoping for better news with the harness installed... My VIN is 1C6HJTAG8ML617011 - I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!

Hi Bernard,

The inverter is always a requirement unfortunately, This will not work for you.

At 14:19 I think I saw his soul leave his body. I did a similar dash removal on two Toyota FJs to,swap for a completely stupid part I wanted. Took us about 6 hours. Never again lol. EXCELLENT video thanks for posting it

Okay, I haven't tried this but it looks like there is a better way to get to the wire.

I did the bed outlet on a 2023 Rubicon today and everything was going fine until I got the dash apart and there was no connector visible. That was a Grrrr moment and I just walked a way for a few. When I came back I decided to dig in deeper in case it was there and it was. I removed the antenna and took the screws out of the speaker pod even though I couldn't get it out. I was able to get enough of a hold on the connector and wire I was able to get it pulled out, wouldn't recommend pulling like I did, after that everything went reasonable smooth. Everything is back together and working as it should. Thanks everybody for all the feedback and videos in this thread, it really helped!

So I bought an endoscope. After finding out what happened to that gerbil, I took off some of the panels around the headlight switch and searched for the 115V switch connector.

It is hidden better than that gerbil was. I still can't find it and I'm not going to remove any more panels.

Found it!!! Only took 4 attempts. But had I seen that latest video prior to attempt #1, I would have been one and done.

Holy! What a nuisance!

I used the latest video that was posted to help with getting the biggest panel off so that the speaker pod could come out and there it was tucked up behind it. Knowing where it was. I'm sure I could have found it without the disassembly. However, to route it through to where the switch is wouldn't have been possible.

Besides that ridiculous location, the placement of some of these screws is just as bad. 4 times taking them off and on, didn't make it any better. Crazy...

I also couldn't figure out how to reattach the center 7mm on that metal cross bar (see vid). I tore that plastic and metal up! Then just put it in wrong just so it was at least there with all the pieces.

I did check and of course the outlet isn't already activated. It seems like a pain to buy the Tazer, etc... just to turn that setting on. But most likely a whole lot cheaper than paying the dealership to do it. I'll be getting a quote from them tomorrow.

It's going to be in the top left corner behind speaker. So, if you try to squeeze your fingers/hand up around speaker without taking it out. You may just reach it. However, I don't think there is a way to get it up to where in needs to connect with the switch without at least taking that speaker off (whole left panels). Though I could be wrong.
