Add 110V bed outlet in the bed and computer reprogramming

I do not have the outlet in the bed. But I am certain the inverter is factory installed since I get 110V in the outlet in the rear seats.

There is a method to add the bed outlet that requires replacing some wiring plus adding one by the bed, then reprogramming the computer to let it know about the inverter.

Since the inverter is operating...should I still reprogram the computer?

Since you have the cab outlet and working inverter, @AllMoparParts.com sells a kit to add the bed outlet for about $300. There is a switch to turn the bed outlet on and off. The computer just needs updated for that. You will need to disassemble a large part of the dash to install the switch.

You don't have to replace any wiring. It's all pretty much plug n play.

It looks like some might not have the bed wiring harness already in place but you can get the full kit with everything you need including the new bed wiring harness here:

Couldn't find the wire for the switch in my dash. Mine is a 2022 Rubicon with the console plug. It makes me wonder if some models/years don't have the dash wiring for the switch.
