Tube doors

Looking for opinions.
I am planning on buying tube doors and I’m trying to decide whether I need 4 or will be happy with just the front. Anyone just running with the front and leaving the standard doors on the rear?

I have run that way a couple times, it's really not that pleasant. You get a ton of buffeting, like when you have the front windows down or the top open and don't crack the rear windows or hatch. It's like that but more. I have these,

I go top less with no front doors and full factory back doors. Windows down, don't mind it. I keep the back door on cuz kids

Been looking for some half doors just for the rear but no luck so far. Haven't found aftermarket ones o like enough

I struggled personally finding any I liked after Warn discontinued their Elite Tube doors for whatever reason which I loved the look of.

I personally think the Quadratec Carnivores look like trash with those big ass bulky sections, and the Mopar ones are super pricey. Then of course you have the abundance of cheaply made Amazon styles.

For the money, Exceed Fabrication makes some great ones I've been highly impressed with. Adjustable rubber stoppers, optional mirrors, added arm support on top bar, inner middle bar flares out for knee extension, etc.

If you get an alternative set of doors, get all 4.

if you get foot pegs/mirrors, then you can kind of get away with leaving the back doors on ( foot pegs for just the front ).

similar to @Sarge502, I didn’t want poorly constructed tube doors. Some have locks, some don’t. Some tend to rattle more than others. If you get a set, I would encourage you to get something that looks stout enough for you to diy some bumpers onto, or cup holders, or the ability to use them for more than just Swiss-cheese doors.

I ended up going with just a set of rears for the kids and may try to find a matching front set.

We haven't tried just installing front or rear, a friend of mine seems to do this a lot and I was asking her how she feels about it.

I am in the same boat I really liked the Warn doors. These are a very close second. I haven't ordered a set yet because I am currently working on a TJ restoration project but once thats done these are on the list to get for my JT

I run Rough Country doors front and back. Love the look. But they are very heavy! I’ve run the front only a few times and agree it is a much greater level of buffeting - especially at highways speeds.

Nice. Yeah I think you'll be impressed. I did a brief little Youtube video on them for initial impressions and more of an overview if you have any questions. Or just hit me up if you need or want any close up pics, etc. when it comes time to pull the trigger.
