Does the “Gladiator forum, $30 refund” apply to the G900 Pro? I don't think even your camera would survive taking a picture of me. 😅

Iam researching dashcam options. Does the G900 dashcam work with jt's that have ACC or does the box on the windshield obstruct the G900 camera?

I ordered it and I have ACC. There is a video on youtube and the user has ACC and he dropped the mirror 1/2 inch to clear the visors and as it seems the issue with mirror is actually the width is 12inches and our mirrors hit it but I don't think there is an issue with the camera and the ACC box. Mine just arrived yesterday and I hope to get it installed in the next couple weeks and can let you know for sure.

I ordered the 930 a few months ago. Wound up taking it out. My JTR has the ACC box and the front cam view was not obstructed but not good either. My wife has the oem rearview mirror cam in her Grand Cherokee and its a good quality image and field of view. The Wolfbox is not as good.

No matter what you try the 900 and 930 will obstruct the visors unless you move and readjust your mirror every time you drop or raise the visor. I followed the youtube BS and found the drop bracket that supposedly helps with the visor issue. Complete BS.

It was a huge PITA to remove the factory mirror stalk because of the auto dim wiring. The new mirror stalk the youtube guy recommends for the wolfbox also developed an annoying rattle several days after install because its not sturdy enough to handle the weight.

Not to mention getting the trim and visors off to run the dash cam wiring. It requires three cables. The power, the GPS, and the rearview cam. Trying to get all three cables routed through the ACC box trim is not fun.

Then you deal with either using Wolfbox’s included acc power plug cable and dangle it down from the mirror trying not to block the infotainment system. Or you hardwire it through the firewall for power or if your wiring savvy tie it into a power source. You also have to run the wire for the GPS sensor and try to get it to stick onto the dash just below the windshield. There is really no great spot for that on our dash setup.

The rear view cam is a headache to try and run the wiring inside the interior trim and leaves you with a dilemma. Mount it to the hardtop making it so you have to remove it and let it flop if you take the hardtop off. Mount it to the front bed rail and your view is blocked by anything in the bed. Mount it to the tailgate and hope it doesnt get taken out by anything loaded into the bed. Mount it inside the cabin and get either a worse view than the oem rearview mirror or find some way to affix a drop down bracket that nobody makes. You could try mounting the cam to the rear bumper but then your viewing angle would be all kinds of weird and likely get a lot of washout from headlights.

The OEM backup cam is way better field of view and suited to rearview cam needs than what you can get from the Wolfbox. I’m not saying the Wolfbox wouldn’t be good in a car or truck with a non removable top and more space across the windshield. I am saying its a terrible fit in the Wrangler/Gladiator cabin.

Our setup would need an all in one shorter mirror with front view off to one side and rearview cam in the mirror itself.

It needs to be more adjustable than current to accommodate viewing around the ACC box. The dash cams that suction or stick to the windshield do a better job of this.

Given the removable top situation there is only two ways a rear cam will work well for our trucks. Either integrated into the mirror or a bracket or something to mount it to the back of the tailgate.

I would not recommend anyone that doesn’t have massive amounts of patience to try and install a Wolfbox rearview cam in a Gladiator. The results will not live up to the hype.

Edit: I forgot to mention the wolfbox mirror will not fit the ball mount of the OEM mirror stalk. The OEM is significantly larger. So there is the fun of having to remove the ACC box trim just to get the OEM mirror and stalk out and then install the Wolfbox mirror and stalk. I tried grinding the OEM stalk to try and make it work and succeeded but it was not pretty and felt like a waste of time for the effort.

Thank you for your experience with the ACC setup. Just curious on if you tried the license plate bracket from Wolfbox? It seems very odd to me that people are trying to mount the backup camera on the inside or outside of the removable hardtop and complain about the mounting location for the rearview camera when they already make a license plate bracket holder designed for it if you can't find a good location for it. I see this as a common complaint in forums and in youtube videos and it just seems pretty odd to me. I am not too worried about the wiring and I don't really use my visors and plan on installing the camera on the underside of the bedrack for a better field of view.

I did not order the license plate bracket. Prob should have but I still wouldn’t have been happy with my rearview mirror image being off to one side and lower than the tailgate cam. Its an OCD thing for me no doubt but I want my rearview image to be similar to OEM.

I do appreciate your feedback with the wolfbox and the ACC. Unfortunately for me I cannot see out of my rearview mirror so I need to find something that works and this one seems as good as any and checks other boxes as well so I guess I will see how it works once I get it installed.

SO I Just got the Tripro bumper cam version. I don't have the ACC but The display does interfere with the Driver's side visor too. Passenger side is not affected. I'm trying to decide where to attach my rear cam as well. I want to be able to run my top off and still have the cam and I want to be able to run my camper shell in the winter. (Yes, I'm being extra, I know)
For now, I think I'm going to mount it on the roof on the inside at the top of the slider window. The mount JUST hangs down low enough for it to work on a temp basis.

My current hope is to modify the tailgate handle latch and do some kind of cutout that will fit the camera body. Mounting it to the license plate is just too low for me and will be stupid once I'm towing something. Wish me Luck!

IMO, these mirrors are kind of pointless unless you have things obstructing your rear view mirror. If you want dashcams, there are far better options out there that are easier to install. Where these mirrors shine is when you have something like a topper without windows or something else obstructing the view out your rear window.

I have a G900 Pro left over from my Tacoma that I'll be listing to sell shortly. It was a great option since I had a cap with no windows. Mounted the rear cam right to the rear door of the cap and it worked great. I held the G900 up in place to see how it will fit, but its just too big for the Jeep, so I have purchased the 930. I'll have a half rack and tent thats obstructing rear views. I don't have ACC and plan to 3d print a mount to help it clear the visors.
