Right - ALL mufflers have weep holes. If it's plugged the condensation from combustion (and the cats) builds up and rots them from the inside-outLeave the muffler and the hole. The hole is there by design, it allows water to drain from the exhaust system.
You beat me to the punch SP!Right - ALL mufflers have weep holes. If it's plugged the condensation from combustion (and the cats) builds up and rots them from the inside-out
Well, this was my first 'question' and reason for joining the forum! I have 'leaks' in both mufflers and though they look stock, I wondered! You beat me to the punch SP!![]()
That looks like a weep hole to let out condensation that's a byproduct of combustion. Every muffler I've seen has at least one weep hole somewhere.Found out I have a hole in my suitcase muffler while changing out the transfer case fluid what would you do? Looks like something punctured it. I’m thinking about a delete of the muffler. Pros cons with that setup?

It could have changed in the last 7 months. Maybe the weep hole became a weepING hole!!Talk about a zombie with many repeats of what was said months ago
