I am thinking about putting my insulated hardtop panels back on for summer. Love the Bestop for the spring and fall, but thinking summer and winter the hardtops might be better.

Anyone remove and store during these times? Or am I asking for trouble and leaks by removing and storing twice a year? The feel likes will be hitting 100+ this week in Texas.

I personally keep it on year round but you wont run into any problems swapping back and forth

I'm keeping mine on this summer here in Deep South Texas. But I also have the hotheads sunrider headliner. It cuts down on noise AND felt heat from the wonderfully warm (sarcasm) temps we normally see down here.

I swapped mine a bunch of times, taking it off to either go full topless or switch to the hardtop panels. No issues. Just make sure it's stored in a way where things won't deform. And as the other guy said, keep the seal clean, but I would do the entire thing, not just above the windshield. And the seal on the panels too.

I've had to open mine when parked in the sun otherwise it gets hotter'n the hubs of hell in there, I mean horrible. It's so bad the AC has trouble catching up even after several miles. I think we went about 10 miles before the AC started to get a decent temp in there this AM after it sat out in the sun.

We've had intense UV here in recent weeks (even some warnings) and when you can see the "waves" in the air above the top, you know it's a stove top.
Inside it's unbearable when you get in. Never had that with the freedom panels in place.
So - if they ever get my sunrider crap sorted out and I keep one, it will be getting something to insulate it. Crazy difference I wasn't expecting.

Do something like the headliner if you otherwise like it.

But face it - it's BLACK FABRIC. DUH LOL, it's gonna get hot.
Ya don't see the residents of Iraq wearing BLACK.

I take mine off mid-October and put in the hard panels. It goes back on mid-April.

I take mine off in the winter here in Colorado. Have done so the past 3 years. No issues with the sunrider. I to keep it a plastic bag in the shed when not installed.

I love my Sunrider here in Florida and just recently added the Hotheads headliner. I would not have believed the difference it makes in noise and temperature had I not tried it myself. It's pretty amazing. We ordered the full-length one for my wife's OneTouch on her Wrangler, and it's even more noticeable. The one for the Wrangler looks factory and hasn't moved any since install.

Does anyone else have an issue with the velcro strips not staying connected at the front of the Hotheads liner for the Sunrider after opening and closing? I followed the install video step by step, and frankly, it isn't rocket surgery. I had read about all the issues before they added the velcro to the front, but mine has the two velcro strips. All the velcro on the rails was lined up perfectly, and the back stayed nice and tucked in.

I took it off and was ready to return it until I got in over the weekend and remembered how much hotter the Jeep was without it. I decided to try again and reinstalled the Hotheads for Sunrider following each step. The front still won't stay tucked and connected when it's opened and closed.

I am looking at adding more velcro along the front where I can, to see if that helps. Thoughts?

I bought a soft top for mine and installed it day one, love it. In my opinion it gets just as hot inside as it did with the hard top. Ime in NW FL and it gets dang hot here. If I want to take it off for an extended period I just open it up, put the bag on it that it came with, remove 4 bolts and hang it on a hook in the garage, aloft easier than removing the hard top. I have a spiderweb shade liner to keep from roasting when the top is open/off. I love the versatility of the soft top and my favorite configuration is top down, rear window and side panels removed, hate the hard top....it's for sale, lol

To the OP's question- as long as you store it correctly and maintain your seals I see no issue with that
