Just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself. I traded in my old Tesla Model S and wanted the hybrid Jeep, but their wasn't any left in the color for hundreds of miles. So I went with the all gas Gladiator.
When they first came out, I thought they were ugly, but now I really like them.
I know nothing about Jeeps except I bought a new 2013 Wrangler and shipped it to the Virgin Islands when I moved there for a bit.
Reason for buying is I wanted something to pull my small boat to the lake and drive to Mexico often. I have an old Land Rover with 200k and it runs perfect, but was starting to get worried in case something happened, especially in Mexico.
I'm really happy with this Jeep and looking forward to having this for the next two years. I didn't want to pay a lot right now, so I did a 2yr lease in exchange for the Tesla.

Very nice choice. Just wondering why not a Mojave? That has special suspension for desert runs. But just how small is your boat? If it’s over 5,000 lbs, boat, motor and trailer, then you should be alright. Anything over and a Sport S with Max Tow would be better for towing. But welcome to the gang, have fun be safe.

I didn’t know anything about the difference between the two. I’d probably would have preferred a Mojave as I think I’d like to drive faster than slow rock crawling in the desert.
But oh well, I’m totally happy with the Rubicon.
And my boat and trailer is less than 3k pounds so it’s fine for towing.
