Hello,

I have been a gladiator owner for about 6 months, and so far I have done Schubarth loop and Hell's Creek Spur a couple of times with my brother.

I was wondering if anyone had some current trail info for a good next step. I have heard Hackett had some trail maintenance recently which made it much easier, but the "technical" part of the Spur was so washed out this weekend it was kind of trickier than expected.

Anyone taken a stock rig out in the last month or so on something fun? My brother has an XTerra on 33s and I am trying to not buy a lift and 37s for a little while at least.

A region your looking to travel is helpful.

Switzerland is a pretty fun starter trail. Tons of good stuff down by telluride if you want to take a long weekend. Strongly recommend Trails Offroad. It’s going to give you all the info you need to explore a bunch of stuff. For a stock JTR, I’d probably get some rear lower control arm skids and stick with trails rated 4 and under.

Apologies.

That front range of the rocky mountains runs the eastern slope from southern Wyoming to a little south of pueblo. It is a pretty common term around here, but I probably should have been more specific. I am located in Colorado Springs, but I am open to travel. I'd like to stay in centralish Colorado. (Mt. Herman is what I am most familiar with.)

I am using TrailsOffroad for scouting right now, but the rain has changed some of the most recent ratings.

Front Range means Denver area. Ish.

The Front Range is the entire Eastern face of the Rocky Mountains, not just the bit near Denver.
Thank you!

Switzerland looks pretty good. I will have to check it out. I have 4x4ed before, but the Gladiator can outdo my square body suburban so easily I am not really sure where it can handle without mods.

Ok. Thank you for the clarification. Didn’t know that. When I lived in Denver that’s what everyone called it. I don’t remember that when I lived in Colorado Springs. My bad. .
