CarPlay - Can it be turned on with a code?

I have a 2023 Gladiator Sport Plus. My infotainment system doesn’t have CarPlay Configured.

is this something that can be turned on with a code?

If not, has anyone tried the aftermarket CarPlay adapters?

Yes, I’ve plugged my phone in. It doesn’t seem to trigger anything on the screen. I am able to Bluetooth connect for audio.

I have an iPhone 16. And I am able to connecT and use CarPlay with other vehicles. I’m more curious if the Jeep supports CarPlay? Is a certain trim level or infotainment system required? Or do all of them support it, when optioned accordingly?

It should have carplay. You may need to allow "phone projection" or similar setting within U-connect

Yes, it should work on your Jeep. Make sure you're plugging in via cable to the USB under the "MEDIA" cover in the center dash. Might have to try a few USB cables, perhaps you have a charging-only (no data) cable mixed up in there

I seem to recall a setting in the radio about that as well, but been a while since I looked. I don't have apple products, but screen projection or whatever it's called has to be enabled. It can be turned off.

That's the one - it's possible it's not checked for the OP here.
Mine works (and is sometimes annoying when my wife connects her phone but only wants to charge it)

Using data cable is essential. Also, as others have said, there is a projection manager you might to play with. Lastly, have you tried all USB ports...If I recall, users have had USB issues and issues with CarPlay in general

We’re in business! I was using an old style usb to multi-head cable and it didn’t work. I switched to a usb-c to usb-c and we’re in business!

Differences in data capacity in cables - even cheap C to C cables can be sub-standard in that area.
