So today, I turned the truck off and as I was abou to get out, I heard a word electrical ticking sound behind glove box that I never heard before. I waited a few minutes and it continued. Turned the truck on again and still heard it. Found the recirculation door was the culprit by messing with hvac controls.

When I turn on and off the recirculation button, the noise goes away. Turn the truck off it comes back. Pulled the glovebox out and seen the door at full open but stuttering at the top. Waited for about 10 minutes and it finally stopped. Opened the door and it started again.

Anyone know what will cause this?

I have that same thing happening. I just picked up the actuator motor and will get the T20 tool needed. Glad the motor is right on the side of the recirculating door.

Today, I had no issues. So I'm assuming it's a system glitch? I'll keep an ear open on it. Might need an actuator if it continues

Parts guy told me the actuator was getting weak and will do that. I then talked with the shop Forman who said it’s important to do a recalibration when it’s installed.

How is the recalibration done?

With a diagnostic tool that can recalibrate, relearn, actuate.
I have the Mucar CDE 900 pro. I can only speak to this tool I have which also requires the annual license subscription with FCA to have full security gateway unlock. This license is bought through the Mucar diagnostic tool.
