Same here! I just decided to mount the camera 100% inside. Really is proving to be a great mount location.

Super clean. Nice work. It’s the second rear camera I’ve had, so figured a tiny hole gives me flexibility the change things up if that ever becomes necessary. But I’m super happy with the current setup, so maybe that won’t happen.

To be fair, this is using a Blackvue camera. But the principle could be used for any camera that fits in there.

All I did was drill the hole size for the lens and then used lamp hardware to hold it in place against the tailgate interior panel. I can grab better photos of the actual setup, but this is what I used:

I'm sure that works great. Now that you sent, this, it jogged my memory from when you did this. Great work.

Does anyone know of any flush mount camera options that work with the wolfbox systems? On another vehicle I would get more use of a flush mount camera option than the cameras they provide as we have already broke 2 camers just washing the vehicle.

Is there a link to a write up for this? Can the Wolfbox lens be removed from the housing to be. Mounted with just a simple drilled hole?

When I get home next week from MOORE Expo I plan to start the install of the G930, and I plan to design and print a mount that will keep the mirror high and forward. I also plan to write up a solution to swappable cameras for those who want to run a camera on their truck and their trailer.
.
have you had a chance to write up the trailer version? Seems like this would be well received.

...I really wish they would re-evaluate the mounting options for the Wrangler and Gladiator and offer something that works properly with these platforms.
Did you ever come up with a mounting solution to move the G930 higher and closer to the windshield? I've would love to get mine a bit more forward. It seems like that would eliminate the visor interference issue AND it would allow use of the 12" monitor as well.

I did not, I was able to clock the mount a tad to the passenger side and it the G930 doesn't interfere with the sun visors at all. I can't speak to if it would llow clearance for the G900 models though, but I suspect it wouldnt be enough.

See this post for info, however I see I forgot to get updated photos, so I'll try to remember to do that tonight.

The 900 tri pro is amazing, but would require mirror modifications. I’m going to do mine. I have a plan an and b. I’ll report back. But it might be a while. Not on the super short list.
