I've enjoyed following some of the stuff that Scott has done. He recently set a new record in his mini-pickup running 235 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

And, for the laughs, looks like even he didn't solve the overheating problems while pulling grades:
That car was designed for high speed. The rain and low visibility made it to where the car couldn't run at the speeds that it was designed for, hence the overheating. It would be interesting to see how it would perform on a clear day which he could run at full speeds. Maybe he'll attempt Pikes Peak again in 2026.

Maybe you didn't click that one, but he says exactly that in the last video I posted. This was 2022 though, and it looks like he brought a Ford in '23, didn't compete in '24, and brought a Porsche this year.

Wonder what ended up happening with his EcoDiesel LMP project.

Yes, but that small clip isn't the entire story. I read the entire story. They said that rain and low visibility cut the race short. There wasn't enough air to cool the radiators going that slow, which is why it overheated. He believed that he would have broken the record has it been a clear day.

Wonder what ended up happening with his EcoDiesel LMP project.
Yeah, I'm not sure. He is trying to break as many records as he can, so I think it's a matter of staying on track. I'm sure he's already got a plan for 2026.

He was supposed to run the LMP in 2024 but ran into issues so he brought his truck, but he had brake failure in the Ford and went off the edge. Scary crash.

“A day or two before we were scheduled to leave, some one-off parts on the blower sheared, and we couldn’t get them remade in time. We’ll try this setup one more time in 2025, and are hoping for the best. I just hated letting down the fans!”

I can't find anything as to why they didn't run the LMP in 25. Maybe the setup just wasn't working out.

Oh right, I forgot about his crash! That's why he wasn't showing up in the results from '24.
