I think they are also a good looking truck......
The Ram 1500 we had as a loaner a while back was huge, though, waay too big for us. It felt like we were swimming in it, and without power steps, we struggled getting up into the thing.
Nice truck, but huge.

The one you checked out looks lower profile, and yeah, I'd love it if that I6 would come into JT.
It also had the running boards so it was easy to get in and out.

Kid you not, I really liked it…

I went back to a 26 Rebel a month ago…I’d been kicking the idea around for a few months of going back to a full size with my family growing and that Hurricane engine is sick. 4.8 0-60 in my Rebel GT for the one time I tested it but trying to drive it modestly is tough šŸ˜‚. I had a Hemi Rebel before that I put a Borla exhaust on and it sounded amazing but I’d rather have the power and potential for same mileage efficiency. I have 1,100 miles on it now and getting 18mpg…was getting 19 overall with my 23 Mojave. So comfortable, ventilated front seats, couldn’t ask for more.

I must be driving mine like a maniac… I have never seen 19 mpg on my Mojave…

It will be delivered next week! In Indiana you plate them as a vehicle and drive them everywhere!

Running boards are still way to high to step up to........... but that's easily solved with other steps.
That exact same topic came up at the 4x4 event this weekend, and a lot of guys were talking moving to power steps.
A running board you still have to raise your foot almost as high as the sill of the door opening - saving you maybe 2"?
My wife and I talked - we liked that Ram a lot, but.......... we both agreed, if it was ours, it would get some proper steps.
We've had running boards on several of our Jeeps and these days, they just don't cut it.

Yeah, if I needed to move back to a full truck again - I'd be seriously looking at a Ram like you drove. Really nice trucks.

Completely agree. Retractable power steps would be the way to go.

For now I will stay the heck away from the dealer ;)

I'd like retractable steps for my Ram, but it didn't come with them, and 2800 bucks is a bitter pill lol.

Wait until you start to get old, knees go bad from all of the heavy lifting and walking rough ground, back goes bad because of lifting transmissions and differentials/axles over the years, riding in really rough vehicles, and the arthritis kicks in........ or you have a wife with handicaps that pretty much necessitates such things.........

I always had the fuel efficiency monitor up on the display trying to maximize what I could…obviously 33ā€ AT tires don’t help but man that Mojave was fun while I had it. My wife told me this was a 5 year commit on the Ram so we’ll see…definitely love the pick up with the hurricane engine over the pentastar.

Let them do their market adj and they can rot on the lots. Remember the Bronco adjustments that the dealers said would be there forever ,,, LOL.
They sold a bunch of marked up ones. I’d be interested to see what the most sold marked up vehicle was during that weird time.

I remember seeing Bronco's marked up 15-20K over sticker. I was lucky to get my '22 JTR at -2K under the asking sticker.

I’ve fallen victim for the new truck smell before, but at least I have never fallen for the new wife smell.

I hear that can cost you everything…and sometimes even your life!
