Ouray Day 3. Ophir Pass and the Red Mountain Trail

Day 3. Started the day with Ophir pass and the Red Mountain trail. These were super easy trails. Ophir was more stark when compared to the other passes. Red Mountain was just loaded with old mining sites to explore. The last photo was how I ended the day at the Western Saloon & Grill with a $45 Western Deluxe Old Fashioned W.L. Weller 12yr Wheated Bourbon, demerara, angostura + orange bitters. (You only live once!)

Wow, that's more than I paid for my last bottle of Bourbon. But I am a sucker for a good Old Fashioned. Tell me it was good, damn good??? and I just might have to try it, as you say, you only live once.

It was good but I make em better. It was a vacation splurge for sure. I rather have a bottle of Wild Turkey 8yr for less and sip that.

Beautiful pics! We were just out there, and just missed the trees turning.

A buddy and I spent a week in Ouray a couple years ago and hit every watering hole in Ouray. I prefer rye instead of bourbon in mine, but the Outlaw Restaurant was the favorite. Cheers!

I pay $60 a bottle for Weller 12 year, but like he said you only live once. And its his money so he a can what he wants with it
