The front and rear have a very similar drop when installed. and rear feels as solid as the front. I would think a spacer/shim to prevent the trim from compressing would eliminate the gap. Maybe a longer screw might be needed with the shim.

Do you think there is any benefit regarding the trim buckling if the bracket was about 5mm longer? We are working on a new bracket for some of the older pre-airbag Wranglers with a slight trim variation and that mounting point requires a bit longer reach into the trim to align.

Probably cannot tell from the pictures, but the bracket does sit awkward due to the short bolt tab. I tHought that was odd when I installed them and wondered if that tab being too short was the issue.

Technically the use is ‘off-label’ as these are really designed for the airbag units 24 plus in the rear. The trim and mount points are different, but if they work they work. You can always try a set of the longer bracket wrangler ones when they release. That extra few millimeters might help!

I think the bracket being 5mm longer would help with the current grab handle. I believe it would help the brackets sit on the roll bar with only the screw part touching the plastic. I'll get a photo tomorrow.

Here is a pic of me holding the bracket to the screw hole on the drivers side back seat (22 Gladiator). I don't think 5mm would be enough.

Attached is a photo looking up at the drivers side handle.

I believe if the ear of the bracket that the screw goes thru was longer it would allow the rest of the bracket to sit parallel to the plastic trim while allowing it to rest on the rollbar.

Have you seen some of us?

=D
Generally speaking this type of handle isn’t going to take sustained full body for any length of time. We generally abuse stuff way beyond normal use in our testing!!

👍 Absolutely!

They are in production and we are expecting it to be about 3 weeks. It is a really long process because we need to build the inner aluminum tubes with the magnetic parts. Then it goes to our sewing partner to stitch it all together. Then it comes back to have the TPU outer handle over molded.

For a little handle it’s a very complex process but we are moving and grooving asap!!

We appreciate it!

We tried all of the other available options on our own personal Jeeps and we were really disappointed with them all.

Like our other custom products (removable steps for the rock slider rails, custom spotter mirrors, etc.), when we take on the process of developing something. Our objective is to greatly exceed the design, engineering, material quality and functionality of any existing products.

We are sincerely glad that has resonated into the actual product for you.

Ok, I ordered these expecting an ok solution to my hooke road running boards as the were 2 years old and badly rusted out. Luckily I saved myojave rock sliders. And if love them, and more importantly my dog loves them.

Two things of note. I came in opening the box wishing there was a vid, however, they were deceptively simple to install. Second I wish I would have read the instructions before securing my rock sliders on the jeep as step 1 was to loosen everything up.

All in all minor comments, they look and feel great

Is this for our steps? This particular thread is for the Cross Terrain Handles. Same custom brand of ours, but different product.

We have had a number of customers report that it has helped senior dogs and they purchased for that specific reason.

If this is for the steps, the feedback would be awesome in the step section. We are glad to hear everything worked out well!!
