That brings back memories! Its grandfather is home! I’ve started and driven it multiple times, but it didn’t want to start after the drive from CA. I think the carb isn’t working well at 8,500 feet of elevation. It came from sea level and I don’t think the previous owner hooked up the choke. So had to winch it into the garage.

Anza Borrego in around August this year. Not much grows at the old mining sites. It's a good thing that jeep is there no grass to speak of or any trees ..gosh darn barren wasteland
Yup, it will!I hope it does for my kids someday.
You removed the 304!? I loved my 304 in my cj7.Yup, it will!
I was 19 when I found my first Jeep.
It was a 47 CJ2A found at a house in Cape Cod.
Flat yellow paint with red seats. It had 9K miles on it!
The canary, that my friends called it, started my love affair with Jeeps, next was a '74 CJ5 with a 304 V8, which we quickly removed and installed an LT1 chevy.
Oh I wish I had them today, memories
I did.You removed the 304!? I loved my 304 in my cj7.
I had the 304 built pretty well. It was amazing. Without any expensive parts it was pushing 325hp for a tiny v8. Then headers, flowmasters, and strait 3” dual drop outs behind the rear tires. It was loud.I did.
I ran it for awhile with a set of side exhaust headers while I saved up for the advanved adapter parts I needed.
There was nothing wrong with the 304, I was just a die hard chevy guy back then.
I owned and drove an A/MP '68 Camaro back then.
It was an orange renegade, looked really cool with the side exhaust headers.
I miss those days
Great picture it would make a great screen saver.Just passed 400 miles on the new rig. Finally snow in Alaska.
