The naysayers vs the hopefuls is all this thread has turned in to lol with side quest topics sprinkled throughout. I believe the naysayers are correct however I can still be a hopeful!
The naysayers are often the more logical, researched and pragmatic people vs. those who say "all they have to do is............"

Naysayers can be wrong of course, but generally have logic and other things on their side - and who the heck knows. A couple of years ago. Ford was all in with their electric truck........ and FCA officials haven't always made sound decisions for the betterment of the business. So when trying to predict auto makers - crystal ball, anyone? How about @Hootbro and his magic 8 ball!

I'm pretty sure he's a defense contractor and money is not an issue for him. And honestly, in the middle of last year he was spot-on with a lot of his predictions.
Yep, definitely independently wealthy and just vomiting clickbait content on two channels for the good of mankind.

He's never nailed a single thing, ever.

Car Driver had a Click bait article, and Captain Click Bait sourced it for his click bait.

Blind leading the blind here.

That's part of my problem with him and similar "sources" - they keep regurgitating the same content over and over from other sources. I mean when the CEO announced the hemi was coming to the Gladiator - one made a big deal, and soon 20 others copied the same BS. They just exist by copying the content of others - why does he need to puke out something that has already been published and is likely bunk? Doesn't anyone come up with original content?

Reminds me of when I published a page on electrolysis for rust removal and preserving antiques - soon, there were articles all over the internet about it - auto club journals, personal web pages "hey, look what I came up with"
However, as I was in a hurry, I made a couple of grammatical errors, and made a historical error - I proofed my page a couple of weeks later and corrected the problems - but for years, dozens of pages and articles on electrolysis existed out there - with my exact same mistakes.

How much is a lot? 75%? If you keep shifting the goal posts, you'll eventually hit the mark.
Make enough predictions, some are bound to come true.

So - "a lot" is what percentage of every prediction he made?
I don't swing off his nuts like that. But I follow him enough to know that he NAILED all the things that matter to me. He talked about the Hemi coming back to Ram 1500....months before it was officially announced. He talked about Hemi coming back to the Charger....almost 6 months before the trusted press got wind of it. He talked about the pricing structure decreasing across the board....months before it really happened (and boy did it happen!). He was right about SRT coming back. He was right about TRX coming back. He was right about the 7.2 Cummins being tested. He was just as correct about the models being canceled that Stellantis did end up canceling. The guy nails all the stuff that matters to me. I couldn't care less about the Euro brands. I want Ram/Dodge/Jeep news and he brings it.

I could have predicted some of that just based off leadership changes and the political atmosphere changes. No magic or inside info needed.

That's revisionist AF.

He mentioned multiple packages, dates, and time lines that didn't happen with the Ram.

When it actually did happen, he hadn't mentioned it in some time.

There is no Hemi Charger still.

For the one thing, he sort of got, there are 50 you're ignoring he got wildly wrong.

CARB still exists. Deletes aren't legal. Chrysler Jr didn't buy Chrysler. There is no Cuda. There is no Viper. There is no 5.7 Gladiator. BYD didn't buy Brampton. Brampton is still closed. No Hemi's are being built in Trenton.

But, he has no shame, and he's totally unlocked the cheat code, just like high level politicians. Lie lie lie until you die. Never, ever stop talking, hit em with such a absolute torrent of BS, always reaffirm their beliefs and prejudices, that they're constantly getting a dopamine hit from knowing they were right all along, and no one can possibly keep up with the debunking.

Dude could be president.

And it was talked about quite a bit before it happened. It was hardly groundbreaking.
Where? I saw no other source talking about those things. Hellcat engines coming back but with higher power, new displacement diesel engine, models like the 'Cuda that nobody had even seen yet coming, expansion of Ram models, a Viper return with a larger engine again... who else has been talking about those things? I honestly want to know because I like to read that news.
