Finally got around to getting my tonneau cover on...it's the Onine retractable aluminum slat one, from Amazon. So far so good. Instructions were a nightmare but seems pretty solid installed now.

What's the clearance under the tonneau? I need about 20" for my cooler....

Wow, I have to admit that looks great. Like the design of the pull strap. ๐Ÿ‘

Looks great.
Curious, it's it hard to install and remove? Or is it more "permanent-like"

Reason I ask, I switch between roll up cover and full soft topper often during the camping season. Dogs ride in back under the topper. The mopar roll up is super easy to take off and put on when needed, but it's starting to age (5 years) so may be looking to change it up.

I guess I should have mentioned, I made that strap. It comes with a bright orange, nausea inducing, strap, hard sewn to the latch (sorry Nacho or Joose folks...). There was no way I was having that on my GG and black Jeep. I found a set of 4 tie down straps in a close to matching green. Just cinched the buckle end tight around the latch and I used a couple of pop rivets with washers to secure a loop with a webbing clip I had from my fishing kayak modding days. Didn't think it thru 100% as the clip was just barely too small to clip to that back lower tie down ring, so I added a hitch pin over the tie down ring I've got it clipped to in the pic.

I would say it leans toward the "permanent-like." It will either attach to the side trail rails, or it comes with aluminum clamp pieces if you don't have the trail rails. It would unbolt from the rails or bed fairly easily, and you'd need some kind of easy disconnect setup for the 4 drain tubes, but the problem would be it's VERY awkward to haul around, especially by yourself unless you've got an albatross wingspan.

I honestly don't know. I'll have to measure when I get home.
Sorry for the crap pic. It's about 17 3/4" from the bed bottom to the bottom side of the cover. But, is has 2 drop down pieces on the back with bumpers to keep it from slamming into the roll up tray too hard, so towards the sides, that would lower the clearance to prob a little under 17".

I got one of these too. Pretty dang good for the cost. Even got an extra mpg out of it. Having to find some hydro blue webbing for the pull strap wasn't on my radar till now lol, thanks
