Cover for Naked Gladiator - Something that Prevents Water Pooling

Last year, I picked up a cheap cover for the Gladiator when the doors and top are off. I tried several things to "tent" the cover during Florida rainstorms to prevent water pooling, and nothing worked well. It's about that time to strip it down again, and I am looking for a solution that eliminates or mitigates my concerns. Perhaps there is something in addition to the cover that I can use.

I welcome any suggestions.

Nothing leaks. It's just that I can't get the center of the cover high enough to drain off water. It will pool in the areas in front and behind the sound bar. 2-4 inches of rain in a short period of time is pretty common for the Gulf Coast, so it can pool up in a hurry.

I would like to find a cover that has a mechanism to keep it raised for runoff, like a tent, or find something that I can use to raise the cover.

this but run that noodle front to back. A lot less electronics towards the doors that can get compromised from water intrusion. If you need something a bit stouter just shove a piece of 2” conduit under the cover. Not sure how tight your current cover is but 2” should be as thick as you need.

I have a JTop USA mesh top that stays on year round under the hardtop (Michigan). I fold/roll a towel for under the center of the Jeep (brand) cover. Works fine and I have minimal pooling (weather pending). I do not believe the mesh top is actually necessary, but it likely helps with said towel roll placement. My roof/doors are off from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

I have never had 1 leak with the Rain gear cover and its been in a some major downpours. I could see the pool noodle or boat cover pole could help your situation to stop it pooling at the top. This cover has never had a issue with that. Seems to drain well.

Go to Amazon and order an adjustable pole, I set mine on the arm rest/center console to hold the center of the rain cover slightly high and in works perfectly. You need to measure the length for the pole and you will be able to find the right size they will be similar to a pole used for boat covers and adjustable with a base plate and top plate.
