I am using 37 inch tires on a 4 inch lift with 4:88 gears and this seems a great fit.
Is this a normal set up for you all?

Depends on your driving habits, towing/payload, what are you using the truck for, and where are you driving.

I run 5.13's in mine on 37's and love it. The difference between 4.88 and 5.13 is <5%, so they are very close.
