Did anybody measure the length from the back of the box, to the tip of the tailgate when in the normal "all the way down" position?

Lol.

On this forum it's plywood. On the JL forum it's tire pressure. People over there think lowering your tire pressure 4 PSI is the cure for death wobble, steering calibration issues, soft top water leaks, climate change, various forms of cancer, and the unemployment rate.

Do you mean the total length of the load floor with the tailgate all the way down?

Should be right at 7.5 feet, considering that the box is 5 feet long and 1.5 feet deep.

Are you sure about that? The last time I checked 5 plus 1.5 equals 6.5 not 7.5

AS I was removing the top on my 2 door JK I noticed I am going to have a issue when trying to remove the top on my JT. I have a very small one car garage.

It looks like I will have to put my hoist on a track system. The garage is not long enough to take the top off with the garage door open. I will have to close the door, slide the hoist under the top, lift and slide the top and hoist back under the truck bed and reopen the garage door.

I don't see it being a big problem as long as I can find a strong enough track system for the right price.

Could it be time to move ? Damn, a simple Jeep Buy now turns into a house hunting nightmare -- this has gotten WAY to Expensive honey, can't we just keep the JK . . . for the "time being"? :headbang:

Yea the house has to go or your gonna have to build a larger detached gladiator garage for the JTR and the plywood.

No way man. My wife has never stepped in the way of what I want. Except for that one New Years when I had a few too many and hit on her sister:involve:

I will be glad if I can afford a Gladiator tarp shed after I get the Rubicon :surprised:

Yeah but that's right. This thing has to come off over the bed or over the windshield. Not just off the back. Before I settled on my hanging straps the other option was like a peg system or groove or sled or something at the right height to connect the roof bottombedge kind of hip high connectors. Even a post on wheels placed on either side. Point would be to release roof then move it away from vehicle without effort. It was easier to build a shed, hang some straps, back in, strap up, drive out . But this roof sits in the middle of a long vehicle, hanging from the middle of the garage and not up against the back? She won't like. It's going to have to be pushable to the back corner.
