How much to buy the black freedom hardtop at a later date?

If it's anything like the Wrangler, it'll be more money to buy it afterwards. Plus it JT the wouldn't have the hard top wiring if you didn't order it with the hardtop, and buying that writing harness after the fact is more money than you'd think for some cables.

True. I forgot about the cables. I'll get a bestop soft top for later.

Eventually used hard tops will start to hit the market...and typically they start around $1500 and then begin a slide. Give it a few years and they’ll drop below a grand.

So what are the cables for?

That's a good question actually. There isn't a wiper, so it's just for defrost which wouldn't be as hard to just diy wire up, but u likely wouldn't have the factory defrost button

Thanks. Not sure how cables work the defroster unless there is duct work involved but it's better than any other answer (none) that I have gotten. I have a couple of freedom panels I picked up for free from a friend so I'm just looking for the rear section now. Even a cracked one from a wreck would be ok if I could find one on the cheap.

Mine came with the soft top and it has the wiring and switch for the hardtop rear defroster.
