lmao, just thought of this. At the end of a lease, do you have to return it to the same dealer that you got the lease from? Or is it like Hertz and i can return it to any Jeep dealer? :CWL::swear::headbang:

I once leased an Isuzu Trooper and at the end of the lease they had a tow truck come to my house to pick it up. Dealership can and should be able to answer that question for you though.

well this says, "The dealer to which you return your vehicle does not need to be the same dealerfrom whom you leased, but the dealer should sell the same brand of car that you are returning" and google is always right.

@steffen707 usually you can return the lease to any dealer...

As for extending a lease - I'm not familiar with that. But there are cases where you can end a lease early, if you're going into another lease, or if the dealer sees value in the car you have and they buy you out of your lease.

In my younger days I always leased my vehicles, it was a way for me to drive a more expensive vehicle for less money and get a new car every 3 years. For all of my more recent vehicles I have been buying, but the problem is that I have never keep my vehicles for more than 3 years, so they have never been paid off. I have had countless vehicles because when something new and shiny comes out and catches my eye I buy it. My wife is totally the opposite, she has had 2 vehicles in the last 15 years and they were both paid off. Since I change vehicles so often it has me really thinking about leasing again.

Has the lease pricing disappeared from Jeeps site? A few days ago I was able to see their estimates and pricing at the end summary on the build page, now nothing.

I plan on leasing when I get one. The dealer that I leased my 2017 JKU Rubicon from sent me something in the mail asking to buy me out of my current lease. Thing is I'm 8k under my mileage limit so I'm hoping they'd give me a good deal on the Gladiator. It's more expensive than my Wrangler so I'm hoping they can get me payments at what I pay right now. If not then I keep my Wrangler and buy it from them at the end of my lease as I'll be around 15-20k under my estimated miles (I was crazy and did a 5 year lease...) as I don't drive all that much.

I have a feeling Jeep is re-evaluating the residual estimate on the Gladiator. I'm guessing the hopes of a 200ish payment on a new Gladiator will soon become a dream.

I don't think the residual is Jeep's choice - the bank probably determines that. Probably, I'm not really sure.

so with our commander in chief's recent China tweet, perhaps the banks will lower the residuals :headbang: Pure speculation I know, but i doubt they're going to raise residuals. I hope this Sport S doesn't end up costing $500 per month, JESUS!

I'm hoping to get the Rubicon for around $450 a month so let's hope the Sport S isn't that high...
