I am so used to my f350 ....I love sitting higher but when I drove the Gladiator/ JLUR, I felt like I was still sitting low with very little decline backwards in the bottom seat cushion. Anybody have a fix for this?

I found the JL seats were higher than my JK seats. Either that or the roof line was lower because I felt like my head was touching the roof in the JL while my JK gives me at least an inch. I think they were taller and more comfortable than the 2017 F250 I drove for a week. The F250 is also about 6" higher off the ground because of how the axles fit under the frame.

That being said I'm 6'4" and imagine you're at least a foot shorter or have a shorter torso if the seats are too low. The aftermarket usually fills in the gaps but you'd likely be able to get a shop to fab something like that up. Maybe you just need to lift your truck?

YEP!

This common even for tall guys and folks that do a lot of hardcore wheeling. I have installed a LOT of them for folks:

Cheap and effective, you will need some longer bolts...

@billyjk7 This kit will work to raise the front seats. To add incline I installed spacers 1/2 the size of the ones in the kit at the rear of the seat rail, gained about 1inch of incline. Hope this helps

Have you installed these spacers on a JT?
Not yet, but I will when it arrives, installed them on CJ, TJ, JK. I used leftover body mounts that come with various kits from when I had my offroad shop. THey are hard rubber body mounts, work great and I have 4 left I am saving for the JT when it comes in. It's my last ones or I would send them to you for free.

I would tell you that you should be able to stop by some Jeep shop (like mine) and if they have not thrown them out they got a box full, I know I did.

If you don't mind, let me know how the install goes. I have not raised the passenger side as of yet, and if I can save a few bucks, all the better.

It is really quite easy. Unless the JT is a different animal its 4 bolts holding down the seat. You pull one and go buy 4 that are that length + the thickness of your riser. I get grade 8 which is just me, grade 5 works fine!

Remove the front 2 and loosen back 2

Lift the front of the seat and slide in the spacers, slip in the bolts, get them started and go to the back doing the same same.

Tighten all 4 and enjoy.

Has anybody just raised the front of the seat? I need more height in front to keep me pushed back in seat.

How tall are the body bushings?

@cajun charlie where did you get the half size spacers.

I made them with some hard plastic disks i had laying around. 5/8" thick. You could stack washers to achieve the proper thickness

I've used hockey pucks in previous jeeps of mine. You can drill a hole in them for the bolts and even cut them with a band saw so they wont be so wide.

Good luck raising your seat. My issue is I would love to lower myself ne, especially in the rear. I have the seat jack on the driver seat and have it adjusted all the way down.
