Once the Billet Silver LE I ordered comes in I will decide whether or not to go through with it or place an order for a Sting Grey Rubicon through Travis. Ordering what I want in the color I want through Travis makes so much sense but the temptation will be hard to overcome once the Billet LE is in front of me I'm guessing..
I have seen some Billet Rubicons in person and they do look amazing. I wish there were more pictures of the Sting Grey Gladiator other than the Mopar’d out version. Hard to get a feel for it. I’m sure it will be amazing.

I’ll be ordering a beautiful Sting Grey JTR as soon as the flood gates open through Travis.

Fortunately for me, i’ll be on vacation in Colorado and hopefully out of cell and internet service driving around the high mountain passes (if the snow has melted enough) and by the time I get home I hope to find an email from Travis saying that my order has been placed....

Wait...what did I just say...I’m not going on vacation because I RETIRED LAST FRIDAY!!!
Congrats on the retirement! I'm semi retired. I work 15 days a month and then I'm off the other 15.

I know dealers in Maryland and DC can process everything for you. Is that the impression you got? Hard to tell from his email. Whether they will figure what you need to have for your state or if they will handle the process to the fullest?

Don't count on the passes being open if you're going to SW CO, its been snowing there even as of today. Purgatory ski resort re-opened last weekend... The alpine loop near Silverton had an avalanche burying it in 40+ feet of snow last week, mid July at earliest before its cleared I heard.

Congrats on the retirement, my parents for the most part just retired also, and bought another house on SML which means I'll be spending the better part of my summer up there working on 2 houses..
Yeah I believe you may be right. Unfortunately my son, who is in the military has a short window and he wants us to take him and his wife exploring the beauty of Colorado. I see you’re in Durango and that’s where we’ll be picking them up as we’ll drive our camper from VA. Do you have any suggestions for easy trails that may be open in the second half of June?
Thanks.

PS. What part of SML did your parents buy their home?

That’s more the situation I’ll have for the next year or so. Owning a company does have its benefits but it means that unraveling everything will take some time, but at least I’ll have some flexibility.

Hi there, it’s only a small excerpt. Overall they handle everything. I believe He was just pointing out their fee. All can be handled there. Including any trades I may have.
Appears to be straight forward.
I’ll prolly actually stop by there while traveling on vacation. See what’s what.
All things being equal will prolly do business there.
Cheers

Ok thanks for the info. I wouldnt mind giving my business as it seems this is one of the few dealers that are really making an effort. I just dont know how financing a portion would work since I use PSECU for vehicle loans. And I think they require the dealer be an approved dealer?

I'm not in CO full time yet and haven't had as much time to explore as I'd like when I am there so I can't really make a lot of recommendations yet. By mid June some of the alpine loop should be open with the exception of the high passes (Imogene, Black Bear, engineer etc). My next goal is to run the Rimrocker trail from Montrose to Moab, mid June would be a great time to run it.

If you go into Telluride I highly recommend Last Dollar Rd for the scenery..

Both houses are off of Dudley Amos Rd, they're just ugrading to long range main channel and Mountain views as a retirement gift to themselves before selling the other later this year after remodeling the "new" house.

We should start a pool for the start date. I'm going with June 10th.
