No adaptive cruise control on Sport S

I am placing my order today. Upon receiving my build out thru the website my dealer informed me that the adaptive cruise control option is not available on the Sport S. I'm very disappointed, especially given that the site allows it to be added.

I’d believe it since on the models page it shows it as available in the overland highlights and doesn’t mention it on the Sport highlights, however it’d be nice to have a dealer confirmation. I was hoping to have it for my yearly 12 hour road trip down south in my loaded S...

Could be issues with the order site since some combinations seem to be creating problems in the order banks, or dealer input errors.

Order guide does show it as an option for Sport S (listed as Advanced Safety Group, but same ALP package). Requires AJ1 (Active Safety group). Maybe the dealer doesn't understand "Adaptive Cruise Control/Forward Collision Warning+" = "Advanced Safety Group" = ALP

I really hope so, looking at the wrangler Sport S building tool it’s not available there either. However, adding it to the Sport S JT you’ll notice the interior model will include the new steering wheel controls and the ACC housing located behind the mirror. Methinks it’s just a glitchy ordering system as I know there have been problems with other options as well.

So, if you don't get the Adaptive Cruise and Forward Collision Warning option; you still get plain 'ole "Cruise Control", right? I had a rental car with the adaptive cruise, it was annoying as hell.

Jeep Cares chat told me a couple weeks ago that adaptive cruse control is not available to order for a Gladiator Sport S at this time.

Interesting - per the order guide it's available, must get the basic safety group then you can add the advanced safety group

I was also told it is not available on Sport S.

No need to apologize my friend. There has been some things confusing about ordering the JT on different specs. The good thing is that we have this forum to help each other out with this whole process. Ultimately that is why this forum was created I think? To inform each other on this vehicles progress, help each other to make informed decisions on purchasing, check out each others Gladiators after purchase and to help each other with any problems they happen to come across while enjoying their new Gladiator. I don't believe this forum was established to bash one another on decisions made concerning the JT or bashing the JT itself. At least that's what I think this forum should be about.

Yes it will still have normal cruise control.

A brand new version of the build tool is out on Jeep's website. Adaptive cruise control does seem to be an option there. Not sure if this means it will be allowed on orders though.
