Well this was more than interesting to read. For the one manual transmission Gladiator that they have on the lot is this a truck that was ordered and shipped for a customer or is that a truck that is for sale to any customer wanting to buy one? Same thing for the other 8 that are in transit? Love to know the dealerships name so I can call them. Thanks
The one on the lot is

it almost seams as if they built sports, then overlands and are then gonna do the rubi's to me
I'm waiting on a call back from the GM at my dealership. Not only have I been waiting since 4/22, I've received 3 different VIN's now for my order. The first one was for an AT. Apparently the system converted the MT to AT on its own...I tracked that order for a while and was excited when it finally started changing status, that's when the GM first contacted me and told me the mistake. He gave me a new VON and a new VIN then and told me that Jeep was batch building MT's the last week of June. I checked with the dealership last week and there was no change or updates. Checked in again yesterday and the Sales Manager said I was still in D but with enthusiasm told me "we have a VON and VIN" which I already had for weeks...the VON he gave me was the same, but the VIN was different than the one I was given about 3 weeks earlier. I still don't know if I am tracking the right vehicle.

Yeah your dealer just placated you it seems. I would ask for some accessories or a discount in return for not rioting.
From day one I was told I would get cost on accessories...initially there was zero negotiation on price...full MSRP. Since then, TrueCar has published pricing and my dealership said they would honor the TrueCar price which would save me $1400 at least...still waiting on Tread Lightly, but as of now, the Gladiator isn't eligible. I'm jealous of the buyers in other threads saying they were getting invoice and under for their purchases, but none of the local dealerships near me were offering anything below MSRP back in April. Only saving grace to a 8/5 build date is that maybe Tread Lightly will apply by then...but reading other threads about shipping times, I could be waiting 2-3 months still before I see it. I really didn't want to put those miles on my trade.

Ordered on 4/27 black M/T rubicon with steel front bumper. Escalated since it was in D status over 30 days. The escalation agent said

“I have taken the liberty of looking up your 2020 Jeep Gladiator order and the current status as of 07/03 is the following:

Scheduled – All of the materials needed to start the manufacturing build process have been received and the vehicle should be entering the build process very soon.

Our resources indicate your vehicle is estimated to begin production the week of 08/19.”

I guess I have a different definition of very soon.

Yea, I was hoping it was a typo and he meant 7/19. Waiting to hear back.

I spoke to Jeep chat today, for what its worth (and potentially not much, based on their track record) and was told that neither the manual trans or my Granite Crystal gray will slow anything down at this time.

Posting this here for everyone’s info.

For everyone’s info I just found out that Harold Ziegler Dodge Jeep in Plainwell,Mi just got in a base Sport model with manual windows, mirrors and locks. It’s Red, has a rag top, an automatic transmission, tow package and rubber floor mats and no other options.Their web site shows that it is in transit but it is there, just got there. See the attached. Oh and FYI the guy there told me that there’s a total of 8 Overland models within 300 miles of them all equipped with a manual transmission. Looks like Bigfoot does exist.
