I’m seriously considering purchasing a gladiator. Does anyone have a roof top tent like a cvt, but actually on the roof of the Jeep and haul a dirtbike?
I’d like to get lost in the woods with my KTM but I’ve yet to see a pic of someone doing that.

any help?

I'm genuinely curious if anyone does that HD of a roof rack because that's a lot of weight to be throwing around. FrontRunner has a good design on the JK with their A-pillar and rear bar mounts that go through the hard shell but I'm not sure they have the room to do the same on the JT.

Might be easier just to plan on mounting the tent as far forward as you can and have the bike with the front wheel on the tailgate with the bars behind the tent.

Largely they're not other than the obvious but the Wrangler's cage slopes downward behind the rear passengers leaving that triangle of space for the bracket. The Gladiator doesn't have the space there so the bracket would have to be super compact to fit between the cage and top.

I think you might be out of luck on this one because the Gladiator isn't intended to be a huge seller and the RTT on the cab thing isn't common even on other trucks. I fully expect racks that will mount to the rails but I'm not seeing a huge demand for a roof rack that can support 200lbs dynamic when it's easier to just throw it over the bed.

looks like the Gobi rack will get the job done. Uses existing mounting points, so no drilling. Designed with RTT in mind. 300lb driving weight and 600lb static weight.

Why not go with the RTT on a rack on top of the bed and use a hitch carrier for the dirtbike? I'm thinking about doing this for my track bike so I can sleep at the track.

Maximus-3 has what you want. Their roof rack has a static rating of 1000 lbs and a dynamic weight of 350 lbs.

How tall is your KTM?

From the bed of the truck to the top of the cab is about 40” and depending on the rack you might be able to find one that is even higher...

‘I would not put a RTT on a rack supported by the cab gutter.
