Considering this set as a starting point, this will be on our 2020 JT Rubicon. Looking for actual people who have tried this lift. Any concerns with needing control arms or anything I should know before buying this for $499!?

This lift came with my JT with 35s from the dealer. It's mainly for looks. It will help to clear bigger tires and will ride like stock. You won't gain additional flex. You will want to spend more on a full suspension lift if you want increased flex and proper geometry.

What is your mission? Do you 4 wheel often and how tough is it?

i bought this at a budget because I am not a hard core 4 wheeler and love the lifted look.

Good deal for me, you’ll have to decide if it meets your mission.

The gladiator will spend most its time in the mountains, and while budget is a primary concern ability will be also, I'm leaning toward holding off a bit until I can get a more complete kit. Man I just wanted to see this thing up on the 37 trail grapplers already

I would like to hear about this kit as well. Capt. B, do you have pics? How’s the ride?

Ride is great. I don't climb rocks with it but for your moderate trails I see no issue with the RC spacer lift. Under $500 I thought that was a good deal. However, if I was a hard core 4 wheeler I'd definitely go for a spring'ed lift.

Spacer lift kits are great options as long as you pair them with high quality adjustable control arms and track bars so that you can properly reset all of your angles and geometry!

I have this lift, and I added their control arm drop brackets to get the alignment in spec.

I installed at about 300miles, and I have just under 5k now
It drives perfect, rides the same as stock

I don't wheel it other than the occasional fire road. It's my daily commuter

But like said above, if you're going to wheel it regularly don't cheap out on a lift.

Thanks!

37" milestars

Nice! I have 295/70/17 milestars on mine. Mounted and on the truck they are 33” It needs a lift and the 2-2.5 lifts seem minimal. It is my daily also.
