its extremely convenient, though. Everyone wants it to fold back into the bed, but then you have to work around that for other bed options, including a full load of cargo...

My favorite thing i've learned to do so far is to unbuckle it at a red light, push it up about 8", and watch it fold itself back when i take off and hit about 5mph.
Sounds like a pretty good way to tear it up if you ask me. I've seen people not fold their JK soft tops back right and on more than one occasion saw them get ripped by the wind.

I couldn't see myself flopping it back like that. It would have to be a full removal if I had one.
it can be totally removed in about 5 minutes and stored in the bed, way more convenient than removing the hard top, plus you can take it with you in case of rain

I learned my lesson from all my other soft tops on my other Jeep's, there is a old sayin with Jeep's and soft tops, they all leak eventually.

I also love the, it's all part of the jeep experience, when people or the dealership try to justify the soft tops leaking.

I agree, I hate that crap. Soft top on my JKU was perfect, no leaks until about 4 years in. Turned out one of the seals came apart. $5 later and it was good as new again, never leaked again. Not sure why people try to justify leaky tops and such as “a Jeep thing”

My Gladiator is my 10th Jeep and 8 of the other 9 all had soft tops. From CJs to JKs and even them ole squared headlight Jeeps and never had a leaking soft top. The convenience of the soft top most definitely out weighs where it sits when its open. Not to mention how easy it is to take completely off and keep in the bed under cover if you wanted to. Can you even do that with the hard top? So call it what you want because of the way it looks, the top is absolutely fantastic.

You could have 2 store locations...cargo and non-cargo.

I have had hard tops and soft tops and currently have both (2 Jeeps). On larger Jeeps I prefer soft tops but on the truck...there's almost no reason to have a soft top, IMO.
